Carolina Tiger Rescue, formerly the Carnivore Preservation Trust, is a 501(c)3 nonprofit wildlife sanctuary whose mission is saving and protecting wild cats in captivity and in the wild.

Carolina Tiger Rescue is open to the public for guided tours, by reservation only.

Declining tiger population, encroachment at Namdhapa Park

Namdapha National Park's tigers are in trouble due to encroachment by Lisu, a tribe that originated in China and are known for hunting tigers.

The park was the only one in the world known to have 4 big cat species- the tiger, the snow leopard, the clouded leopard and the leopard. The 2006 census suggested the population of wild cats in the park was critically low, but this report has faced park. The next census is scheduled in October.
